Since HTML5 has replaced Flash I have noticed that not all resolutions are being offered by YouTube videos when using FireFox. Just found a solution of how to fix that.
• open a new tab in FireFox
• navigate to .. about:config
• search for the line .. media.mediasource.enabled
• it might be disabled (false), then enable it by double clicking the line (true)
Tadaa !
Edit: hm, I have noticed that most videos stop playing after a short while. Since I changed back to false this problem has disappeared. Strange.
